Mitsubishi Delica
People love nostalgia. That is why things that went out of style years ago always seem to find a way to make a comeback. One of the most popular vehicles from back in the day was the Volkswagen van, and while that particular vehicle is still not available, there is one that looks a whole lot like it that is starting to take the world by storm. The vehicle in question is the Mitsubishi Delica, a boxy diesel van that is catching the eye of car enthusiasts all over the world.
One of the most popular destinations for the Delica right now is in Canada, but it would appear that the government is trying to nip the influx of the vehicles in the bud. The Japanese-built vans are considered by some to be less than safe, but what many are doing is taking the original vehicle and modifying it to suit their own specific needs. This is particularly true in the province of British Columbia in Canada, where there are clubs and fan forums for those lucky enough to own the vehicle. More on Mitsubishi engines.
The Outlander is becoming the most popular.
In August alone, sales dropped 9.1%, and the fear is that the bleeding is not about to stop anytime soon. What that is likely to mean is that production will be scaled back considerably in light of the waning demand. All told, 333,471 vehicles were delivered in August, representing the lowest number in 3 years. Mitsubishi were the hardest hit, with sales declining by a rather troubling 37%.
