Imported engines

Mitsubishi importsPeople love nostalgia, which is why things that went out of style years ago always seem to find a way to make a comeback. One of the most popular vehicles from back in the day was the Volkswagen van, and while that particular vehicle is still not available, there is one that looks a whole lot like it that is starting to take the world by storm. The vehicle in question is the Mitsubishi Delica, a boxy diesel van that is catching the eye of car enthusiasts all over the world.

One of the most popular destinations for the Delica right now is in Canada, but it would appear that the government is trying to nip the influx of the vehicles in the bud. The Japanese-built vans are considered by some to be less than safe, but what many are doing is taking the original vehicle and modifying it to suit their own specific needs. This is particularly true in the province of British Columbia in Canada, where there are clubs and fan forums for those lucky enough to own the vehicle.

It is not necessarily the vehicle as a whole that the government in Canada is concerned with, but rather the left-hand drive capabilities of the vehicle. This creates numerous maneuvering and headlight issues that need to be addressed, which is exactly what the owners of the vehicles are doing. They are not just making modifications to meet safety standards in their own country, they are also making changes that will essentially turn the Mitsubishi Delica into a cross-country touring vehicle. The ever-present ashtrays in the vehicle have been torn out and the seating has been replaced by camping stoves and other travel gear. Furthermore, some of them have been modified so that they run totally on vegetable oil.

Most of the Mitsubishi Delica vans that are making it overseas are from thee 1990’s, which means there is generally a ton of work that needs to be done on them to make them environmentally friendly and up to today’s strict standards. In many cases, there is also the need for import Mitsubishi gearboxes replacement, which is not necessarily as straightforward as it sounds. This involves finding a place that carries said gearboxes and has the skill and knowledge to make the switch.

The Mitsubishi Delica seems like a vehicle that is designed for use in the hot, dusty roads of the outback in Australia. Whether the quirky little van will catch on here the way it has in Canada remains to be seen, but there can be no denying that import vehicles of all kinds remain as popular as ever. Japanese vehicles are always high on the import list, which means that the demand for parts is high, too. The good news for Australian residents is that Gearbox Engine carry a wide selection of parts and engines for Mitsubishi and other import vehicles. If you need an import Mitsubishi engines gearboxes replacement, then that is the place to go first.
