This move by Toyota is actually essential, as the automotive industry is recovering and growing at a great rate. The slow years seem to be a thing of the past, as sales in almost every single segment are blossoming the world over. A report issued by the Automotive Marketing Information Council revealed that car sales in the first quarter of 2015 were up by almost 15%. Those numbers included a wide variety of vehicles, with buses and trucks in the mix. When looking at passenger cars alone, that jump in sales was almost identical at 14%. Toyota accounted for about 7,300 vehicles during the first quarter of 2015.
Now that the parts center is up and running, officials from Toyota believe that genuine parts will be made available in no time at all. This is not only a benefit to the consumer, who will enjoy the affordable prices of the parts, but also to accredited agents, who will no longer have to scramble to get their hands on parts that are inflated in price. It’s a win/win scenario that may well have a ripple effect across the entire region.
